Theses virtual event enhancements for registration form logic and improved editing make it easier and more efficient for you to manage your digital events and get the most out of our platform.
Enhancements include advanced form logic to control what fields are displayed for specific attendees as well as increased flexibility for editing a form once it’s been published and there are active registrations. With the new Enterprise Video Streaming registration form features, customers will be able to more easily efficiently manage events and get the most out of IBM Enterprise Video Streaming.
Registration For Events Is A Key To Digital Event Strategy
The registration form is a crucial component of any virtual event strategy because it serves as the primary means of gathering information about attendees. It’s also the “front door” of your event experience and typically the first thing potential attendees see. The registration information is used to facilitate communication and personalization, as well as to gather valuable data that can be used to improve future events. The form also serves as a gateway for attendees to access the virtual event platform and participate in the event. By collecting this information and data, the registration form helps event organizers to create a more seamless and engaging experience for attendees.
Always-On Registration Ensures No Disruption to Lead Flow
One of the most requested feature enhancements has been the ability to make changes to a published event registration form without having to unpublish the form first. This was a frustrating limitation for many users, as it meant that any changes to a published form required it to be taken offline, which could be disruptive to event registrants. With this new update, you’ll be able to make changes to your published forms on the fly, without any interruption to your event registration process.
Advanced Form Logic for Virtual Event Registration
We’ve also added advanced form logic capabilities to our virtual events platform. This means that you can now create different variations of an event registration form, and display different form fields based on selections made in an initial form field. This opens up a whole new level of customization for your event registration process, allowing you to tailor the form to the specific needs of your event and gather the information you need from your registrants.
For example, if you are inviting customers and business partners to the same event, there may be some fields you want business partners to fill out that customers don’t need to complete. Now you can tailor your form to adjust automatically. In this scenario, you’d simply insert an initial field to request the registrant identify themselves as either a customer or a business partner. Based on that selection, the rest of the form fields will populate automatically with the appropriate required or optional fields.
It’s important to note that these new features only apply to IBM Enterprise Video Streaming accounts, and are not available on IBM Video Streaming plans (Silver, Gold, Platinum or Custom). The general availability date for these new features is January 1, 2023.
